Growing up in rural Idaho, my mother always loved weeds as much as flowers, claiming both are nature’s helpers. After working odd jobs in Europe and studying various disciplines of art, she was inspired by the deeply-united family businesses in Greece and returned to Idaho to start a family business of her own.
Her vision was equal parts an ode to her English and German ancestors vision of hard work and community, and a mixed bag of her life-long love of perfuming, flowers and art. Drying baby’s breath in a barn, she made potpourri and Victorian inspired floral goods.
One day her hands were dry and cracked, and our signature product was born from necessity. She made her rendition of a recipe adapted from our Aunt Rose, made with vegetable glycerin, sweet almond oil and extracts from her beloved herbs.
The cream restored hands after one use and reactivated with every wash. Customers came back and demanded more. Millions of jars later, they still do. A lot of companies claim to make the best hand creams and lotions, so we encourage you to try our formulas for yourself. We like to say “Feeling is Believing”.
